Vanessa Ferlito was born on December 28th, 1977, in Brooklyn to Italian American parents. Her father passed away when she was three and her mother and stepfather owned a local hair salon. She is known for her roles in Man of the House, Death Proof, and 24, but her most famous role was the character of Detective Aiden Burn on the popular crime drama CSI: NY. She chose to leave the show to go back to New York (CSI: NY is filmed in LA) and focus on film and theatre. About her new roles, she says, "I'm so interested in seeing what my upcoming movies are going to be like. I love doing all of them. I've played a bunch of different roles Latin, Italian, all-American, Southern and been doing a bunch of different accents so far."
