What does everyone think of her learning about who her biological mother was?
I think she was so lucky! It's every orphan-or once ophan-to learn about their birth family. Stella had such a hard life, too, being the orphanage for so long. I realize this could be a little personal for some people, but I think we should be able to share stuff like this, ne?

It occurred to me that Stella's unstable boyfriend Frankie reminds quite a deal of Stanley Kowalski from "A Streetcar Named Desire," a violent, animalistic man who is physically abusive of and unworthy of his wife, Stella Kowalski.
Incidentally, Stella's first name was inspired by Stella Kowalski's. Also, the name Frankie sounds a great deal like Stanley... Sort of. Is this just a coincidence?

True, for a person who doesn't like serious stuff much, I have a pretty serious past.
Orphanages are dank, depressing, damp, dark, horrible places. You're lonely, scared, no one cares about you and so much more, but I won't depress you too badly. I'm just saying Stella's one tough cookie, and it's just another thing I love about her! ^_^ |

Hey there! Can anyone/someone please tell me where the CSI NY studio is located? There was a special feature on Season 2 dvd where the producer, Anthony Zuiker mentioned that their studio is located in Burbank, California and that they go to NY to shoot only 4x to 6x a year. I do not know exactly where in Burbank, California. I am planning to go to US to visit the studio set of CSI NY. Can you please help me? THANKS in ADVANCE.

Stella has been through a lot on the show, and we would hate for anything to happen to her. She is one of the main characters and one of the most loved, so us fans would love some action to happen to Stella but not so intense enough to harm her :( She's amasing, and we all love you Stella :D x

Hi! Do you get Spams from this site too or is it just me? I have been getting this virus thing although my computer is completely protected. It is like it is forcing me to buy this anti VIRUS software. Some lowball spammers...why can't they leave us alone?

I love all of the photos and articles related to Stella. We should put all the photos in an album where everyone can see them without having to scroll down or up. There must be a way like the Facebook or Friendster way of putting photos altogether in an album. This is an excellent Fan Wiki.

Stella Bonasera is by far my favorite character.
Of all the cast in csi:ny the best, the most interesting was Melina Kanakaredes. From shot to shot, she's different in appearance from strange and unappealing to gorgeous, depending on the camera angle and lighting. She's hard to figure, both in looks and her character. Stella is the funniest character also with her lovely sense of humor and her facial expressions. Melina portrays Bonasera very well. She is the only person on the show to be nominated for a emmy, she is an extremely talented actress.
