Mac and Stella have always had a connection, whether people want to admit it or not, whether they are a shipper of SMacked or not, but these two go down deeper than portrayed on the show, they have the greatest amount of respect for each other and are a rock to the other. Mac was there for Stella when Frankie attacked her and when she thought she had HIV. Stella was there for Mac when Claire died and Mac wasn't able to do anything about it. Mac still cared for Stella deeply even when he was in a relationship with Peyton and would never let anyone hurt her. |
What the Actors of CSI: NY have to say about SMACKed:
"Gary Sinise and I had lunch together way before we even started filming together. It was really nice because immediately we had a connection and were totally happy with one another." - Melina Kanakaredes
"They fit together. I always joke about the yin and the yang, it's a great team because they approach things differently, but at the end, you need each other. So, romantic or not romantic, I think there is that big brother kind of family thing... When you put two leads together, it's usually at the end of the run of the show, you know what I mean?" - Melina Kanakaredes
