 Sarah Carter: Not the Kaye Sullivan we've been waiting for?  In a BuddyTV article, the author expressed doubt about Sarah Carter playing the new character of Kaye Sullivan. About the recent interview with TV Guide (which I wrote about earlier) he writes, "Anyway, she also revealed a bit about Carter's new character, which I still believe is not the Kaye Sullivan character they're introducing in the coming season." It's true - the character Sarah Carter would be playing has never been revealed, but all of us have assumed that she would be filling the role. Fans, do you think she'll be playing Kaye Sullivan? | In Search of Stella's "Grounds For Deception" Dress Here's a random little story: The first time I watched "Grounds for Deception," I had a difficult time paying attention to the plot. Why? Melina's scene-stealing dress was the culprit. I knew I'd seen the chain print somewhere, and it soon dawned on me that I’d once come across the print many, months ago, leafing through Vogue, reading the Michelle Obama interview. At times like these, I feel very thankful for my OCD and eidetic memory. ^_^;
Indeed, it was an ad for Roberto Cavalli (my favourite designer) much like this one. According to OK! Magazine, Melina's a huge fan of him.
I did some digging (hours spent looking through Cavalli's collections to no avail) and was never able to find the same dress seen on the episode. Why am I so desperately searching for it as if it were the Holy Grail? No reason in particular. However, I recently found a similar dress and I've posted up the picture. I'm feeling more optimistic - I must be getting closer... ^.~

Dan Band to Perform at West Point The West Point Band will present a concert celebrating the "Year of the NCO" on Sunday, August 2 at 7:30 PM at Eisenhower Hall Theatre at West Point. Highlighting the performance will be Gary Sinise and his Lt. Dan Band performing a number of selections. This concert is free and open to the public. Doors are open at 6:30 PM.
The West Point Band will open the concert with John Williams’ "Liberty Fanfare," patriotic numbers and the "Fantasy on Army Strong." Mr. Sinise will narrate Johnny Cash’s "Ragged Old Flag".
Gary Sinise's cover band is named after the character Lieutenant Dan Taylor (no relation to Mac ^.~) from the film Forrest Gump. This role garnered Mr. Sinise an Oscar nomination. The Lt. Dan Band covers everything from Springsteen to Linkin Park and Aretha to Hendrix. There's something for everyone, and each show highlights the musical diversity of the band, as well as the passion and energy each member brings to the stage.

"We fit together," she remarks. "It's a great team because they approach things differently, but in the end, you need each other. So, romantic or not romantic, I think there is that big brother kind of family thing ... When you put two leads together, it's usually at the end of the run of the show, you know what I mean?"

The bride wore a simple beige dress while the groom wore a light-weight suit. The wedding, which took place at their home in Silverlake, was followed by the reception at Zucca Ristorante with family and friends. This is Cahill's first marriage and Uberti's second. | Executive Producer Explains Decision to Add New CSI: NY Character
 Pam Veasey, the executive producer of CSI: NY, defended the decision for an addition to the CSI: NY team in an interview with TV Guide. She explains that due to the tremendous impact of the CSI franchise, many schools have expanded their forensic science programs. There are many new graduates who majored in forensic science "and they’re young people—how do these people get their first job?" The current team members are "cops or went to medical school ... This is someone who’s only been a textbook learner." The new character is described as a clean-up tech with a desire to work in the lab and "because of her brilliance and her wit and her charm she sort of becomes part of the system."
Veasy also explains that they had intended to "kill someone on our season finale. We chose [Vaugier's] character because of what effect it has on another character ... But we miss her, we love her talent."
| Anthony Zuiker Creates First Digi-NovelAnthony Zuiker, known to most as the creator of the CSI franchise, has created the first Digi-Novel, "Level 26," a novel, movie, and website all in one. After a few pages of text in the actual novel, one logs onto level26.com and enters a code, unlocking a 3-minute motion picture scene that allows readers to look at the scene in the book through a different light, or simply act as the transition between different chapters. The digi-novel, which Zuiker came up with during the writers’ strike, is described as an “edgy version of CSI” and will be for sale on September 8th. Read more about it here.
| Guest Post: Melina Kanakaredes Plays Athena in Upcoming Percy Jackson Film
 CSI: NY's Melina Kanakaredes will be playing Athena, Goddess of Wisdom, in an upcoming film called Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (novel by Rick Riordan and screenplay by Craig Titley). Filming began in April in Vancouver, though part of it will also be shot at the Panthenon replica in Nashville, Tennesse. Once again playing the Greek beauty with wisdom to boot, Melina stated in an interview that she would be working on it this summer - right now! There's a way to beat the heat: Vancouver!
The film will be released on February 12th, 2010.

In Epilogue, a young woman comes forth with information regarding the killing of a cop but gets tragically gunned down herself. CSI: NY will add to its cast list Sarah Carter, 28, who played Madeleine Poe on the TV series Shark. According to the Seattle Post Intelligencer, she "will play a forensic school graduate on track to (hopefully) become a CSI. To that end, she will at first serve Mac Taylor's team as a crime scene clean-up technician." The actress's credits also include short arcs on Smallville, Numbers and, most recently, Dirty Sexy Money. Could she be playing Kaye Sullivan, the new recurring character earning the skeptism of so many CSI: NY fans? We'll have to wait and see...
