F/A - slight d/l and smacked

Don Flack sat in the waiting room of Angel of Mercy. Thought about the previous day were running through his mind.

Jessica Angell had walked through the doors of the precinct and that's when she had spotted him sitting there gazing at the computer screen then looking at the doors of the precinct, there would normally be nobody there but this time there she stood. He and Jess had been dating for six month and he wished that he could live them again, so when he realised he loved her he said it. She even said it back. Things were going well for the two of them and it happened.

A white man of the name Francis Twafello walked through the door and shot at Flack before Flack could react Angell had jumped into the path of the bullet. Then she had been taken out of the precinct to the hospital.

Flack could not believe it he looked through the window to see her be operated on. Then Angell's father Vincent Angell burst through the doors. "What the hell is my daughter doing on that bed!!" Vincent yelled frightening Flack. "She took a bullet for me earlier today sir." Flack whispered he was feeling incredibly guilty. "You what!! Why would you let her do that!?!?" He screamed. "Detective Angell I did not let the woman I love take a bullet for me I didn't get a chance to push her out of the way I was far away from her!!" Flack yelled back. Both men sat down then "Issues" by the Saturdays came on. Flack answered his phone "Hey Stell ... Yeah i am at the hospital right now ... no well yes but you know I will call you back ... Bye " He snapped the phone shut and sat back down. He remembered the first time he met her dad. Not the best moment of his life.

Jessica Angell and Don Flack were the new couple of the precinct so everybody wolf whistled when they saw them together, even if they were on a serial case. So one day the couple were having quite a slow day, the decided to sit together and by together I mean her on his knee they had started a passionate kiss when her father walked through the door. "Jessica Angell what do you think your doing!?" Shouted Sergeant Angell. "Come on dad he works with me and he is a cop!" "With all do respect sir I care about your daughter a lot." Flack defended "Well at least you passed the test." Jess had put her head down because her dad did this to all her recent boyfriends but you could tell she was grinning. "You mean you knew this would happen?" Flack asked slightly upset but laughing at the same time. "No I have always done this to her she jst love the way they react, you have had the best reaction so far. Most people dated her cause she was cute but you care about her." Sergeant Angell seemed impressed. "Thanks Daddy I sall talk to you later."

The dotor walked through the door of the waiting room with a smile on his face. "Detective Angell has worked hard to live most people I have who get shot in the chest go into a coma or are unconcious and can't talk for a bit, she's alive and her breathing normally." A sigh of relief came across Flack "Can I go and see her?" The doctor nodded before showing them to her room. "Hey babe" Flack told her he walked over to her and kissed her forehead.
