CSI: NY BloopersThis is a featured page

Mistakes, bloopers, oopses, flubs...it's bound to happen on a busy weekly drama. Do you watch CSI: NY with a magnifying glass? If so, collect mistakes on this page that fall into one of these categories:

  • Visible crew/equipment
  • Continuity
  • Revealing
  • Audio problems
  • Factual errors

List them by clicking EasyEdit, then following a format like:

Factual error: Season 3, episode 2: ---

Continuity: Season 2, episode 1
---

Continuity: Season 1, Episode 2 "Creatures of the Night" - When Robyn walks in front of the car she places her bloody hand on the bonnet of the car, centre of the left panel leaving no blood spatter on the bumper. When the photos are being taken the bloody print is now on the far left of the same panel of the bonnet, and the bumper and left headlight have blood spatter on them - the handprint has also become more well defined.

Revealing: Season 1, Episode 3 "American Dreamers" - When Aiden Burn is compiling the face, you can clearly tell at several different times, that the hands doing the actual work are not hers.

Factual error: Season 2, episode 6 "Young Blood" - The girl is auditioning for the musical "Wicked" at her school. This would be impossible because schools are not allowed to put on shows that are on broadway if they are in a certain distance from where they are playing. Being that they are in the city, they are definitely too close to be doing the show "Wicked". I guess it wouldn't be impossible, but it would be illegal.

Factual Error: Season 5, Episode 7 "Dead Inside" -
QR code on the cup held by Lindsay should be decoded as "mumbojumboblarblarblar" not "espresso shock" like it was decoded by Lindsay's phone.

Crew or Equipment Visible: Season 5, Episode 7 "Dead Inside" -
As Flack is leaving his sister's apartment, you can see a blue drinks cooler and cart left in the street by the production's craft services.

Revealing: Season 5, Episode 10 "The Triangle" -
Toward the end of the episode as Jamie Sunderland boards her getaway helicopter she receives a text message from her father, however the phone screen shows the phone to be in the offline mode, which severs it from the network and prevents receipt of calls and messages. The "message" is in fact an image which has been displayed as the phone's wallpaper.

Revealing: Season 5, Episode 11 "Forbidden Fruit" - When Stella scans the felt pad, the image of the coin's impression is an exact match to the coin itself. If the coin had left the impression, the impression would have been a mirror image.

Continuity Error: Season 5, Episode 23 "Greater Good"
- On Maris Donovan's autopsy report, it states that she was 16 when she died on June 12, 2007. At the bottom of the autopsy report, it says, "This 20-year-old woman was collapsed during....". Yet, on the ghost bike, it says that she was 17 when she was killed on May 15, 2007.

Revealing: Season 3, Episode 2 " Not What It Looks Like" - When Mac and Assistant District Attorney Jeremy Bloomfied walk along the sidewalk, a Wolfgang Puck Gourmet Express resto is seen on the background. There are only 2 such restos in and near New York, namely: JFK International Airport in Jamaica, NY and Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey. But we know this show is really filmed in LA.

Factual Error: Season 2, Episode 3 "Zoo York" - When Mac goes into the freezer he takes a blood sample where the body had been, the blood on the wall should be frozen but instead it's wet.

Character Blooper: Season 3, Episode 10 "Sweet 16" - When Mac and Danny are on the roof, Mac is asking if the victim was having any trouble. When Danny goes to follow Mac, he backs up, trips over his own crime scene kit, then tries to hide a grin.

Equipment Error: Season 1, Episode 12 "Recycling" - Mac hands Aiden the baby bottle from the victim's briefcase and asks her to test it. As he's still talking, she removes the lid from the bottle, but after he looks at the notepad inside the briefcase, they cut back to Aiden as she's removing the lid from the bottle again.

Continuity: Season 5, Episode 18 "Point of No Return" - After Sid reveals Annabel Pino to Marty Pino on the autopsy table, he then covers Annabel with a blanket. But when Marty leaves, the camera goes back and reveals Annabel with the blanket tucked under her arms.

Continuity: Season 2, Episode 1 "Summer in the City" - Aiden calls the rape victim Regina Moore but in a later episode, Mac calls her by a different surname.

The Coin was the same on both sides so the coin could match the impression completely

hatmaker510 Factual error, Season 4, episode 4: "Time's Up" 0 Feb 5 2009, 10:23 AM EST by hatmaker510

Just watched this episode (as a rerun). While talking about the experimental drug (to enhance sexuality), and after interviewing those who actually got the drug, it was said that they had finished with the "control" group (and should they interview the "placebo" group).
If you know science, those participants who DO NOT receive the experimental drug/treatment are called the "control" group. Those who DO receive it are called the "treatment" group (or something to that effect).
Example of one definition for CONTROL GROUP: "Untreated subjects used as test benchmark: in an experiment, the group of test subjects left untreated or unexposed to some procedure and then compared with treated subjects in order to validate the results of the test."
