It was a beautiful day in New York but Danny and Lindsay wouldn't speak to eachother. For the last month they had been fighting. He shouted at her she shouted at him, but he wouldn't go out with her when they were supposed to have their aniversery. They were both upset but Lindsay wasn't as angry or upset as Danny.

1 month later...

Danny walked into his apartment finding Lindsay badly beaten and unconcious. The first thing he did was check her pulse she was breathing. He lifted her onto his pool table and he checked his place for the suspect. There was only them two. He kissed her forehead and started to call an ambulance. After he did that he called Mac. "Mac, Lindsay is in trouble either get to my place or get to Mercy hospital. Just check up on her." "Why?" "Just do it!!!" He hung up to show the paremedics where she was. "What's her name?" One of the paremedics asked. "Lindsay Monroe. I work with her." "When did you find her?" Asked one of the paramedics. "5 minutes ago. We both work at the New York crime lab." He said.

When they arrived at the hospital they told Danny to stay out of the room so he just sat in the waiting room hoping she would be alright. Ten minutes later Mac, Stella, Hawkes, Flack and Angell arrived. "What happened?" Asked Flack looking through the window to see Lindsay in a hospital bed with a bunch of doctors around her. "I got home and there she was. Just lying on the floor." Danny said, Hawkes made sure he was alright because he knew about them. "Are you ok?" Hawkes whispered. "I know how much she means to you." "Hawkes I'm gonna tell Mac now." "Tell me what?" "Lindsay and I are in a relationship and have been for 11 months now." Angell had no idea what was going on so she said to Flack, "Shall we go check up on her?" "I don't think that's a good idea. But I'll have some coffee." She laughed even though she knew she shoudn't have she did. "Sorry Danny." "Danny you should go home and get some rest. I know you, and I know you'll say no but you should get some rest." Mac's pager beeped. "Sorry Danny but we have work, if two of us stay behind then." "Me and Jess will stay with him." Said Hawkes because he and Danny were friends so he knew he would be able to calm Danny down, and Jess was sort of friends with Lindsay. Mac nodded and with that he, Flack and Stella left the hospital.

In Centeral Park a body was found with 1 stab wound, entering his neck. "That is just a waste of money." Said Stella picking up a small knife. "What is?" Asked Flack looking around the place looking for money. "Someone left this beautiful knife for us to find and there's a print on it." Said Stella collecting the print. Lets go to the lab and run this through the computer.

Soon afterwards they arrived at the lab. Stella ran the print through the computer. It came back as... Lindsay! "No not her she couldn't have killed him. We should check if she was raped from this guy or if this guy laid a hand on her and attacked her, and then we'll know if she did it." Stella said walking out of the room.

At the hospital Stella arrived to find Hawkes and Jess outside her hospital room. "Where's Danny?" Stella asked looking through the window seeing that Danny had gone to sit with Lindsay. "She went into recovery a while ago and he's really upset she's really beaten up but not in a coma, luckily." Stella glanced through the window again but this time Danny was next to her holding her hand. "When did you find out about them? Even though I think everybody knew even I could tell, the glances, when they work together they're always flirting and it drives me insane!" She said chuckiling at the thought of them two being together all this time. "Well i'll tell you this he is not good at being quiet because I heard him ask her out and she said yes and then I walked in and told them what I heard. She was fine with me knowing but Danny said he didn't know what he was talking about. Me and Lindsay laughed when he said that." "Hawkes we found Lindsay's print at our crime scene i'm thinking that she was attacked by the dead guy we found and-" She was cut of by her cellphone. "Bonesera" "The blood wasn't the vic's it was Lindsay's and we have a suspect." Mac told her over the phone. "That is good i'll be down later. Bye." She shut her cell and walked into her hospital room. "Danny how is she?" Stella asked as she walked to the foot of the bed. Lindsay's eyes slowly opened and pulled her hand away from Danny not knowing it was him. "Get away from me!" She screamed at them curling up on the bed. "Lindsay it's Danny and i'm not going to hurt you. Come here." He opened his arms as she pulled him to her resting her head in his chest. "Lindsay your safe nobody is going to hurt you." Stella said. "Stella what happened?" Lindsay asked pushing herself away from Danny. "Well Danny found you unconcious and badly beaten in his apartment on the floor in front of the pool table and then, well Danny you should tell her." Stella said as Lindsay took her hand in his again. "Linds honey first of all everybody knows about us. And basically um I lifted you up onto my pool table and called for an ambulanceand then I called Mac and then you ended up here." Danny said realising that Stella had come a few minutes ago. "Stella just wandered but haven't you got to be working on a case?" Danny asked. "Yeah but well we found Lindsay's print on the murder weapon or what we thought was a murder weapen and-"Stella was cut off by Lindsay. "Danny the guy who beat me up he took a knife and swiped it across my arm." She paused and showed him her arm. "And then he he he raped me." Stella's face was in shock and Danny had fallen back into the chair behind him. He let go of her hand as he fell. "Lindsay i'm sure you understand but we need to do a sexual assult kit on you." "Stella I understand. Danny, Danny! DANNY!" She shouted his name but he didn't respond to her voice, he just got up and he left the room. "Danny! Where are you going." Hawkes asked as Danny walked out of the building. Danny knew who did it because he got a phonecall from them telling him that they did it.

In an abandoned apartment in Danny's building on the top floor that people were allowed to go in to play games and hang out but lately an adult kept on renting the room for himself and was still in the same room for the last week. Nobody suspected anything, but being as suspicious as Danny, meant you knew they were planning something. He opened the door to the apartment and... BANG!

Stella walked back into Lindsay's hospital bed and collected the kit. She knew how it felt when you had to have a sexual assult kit on you. "Lindsay, Danny'll be fine. He might just've taken it too seriously but it means that he can't go near our suspe-" She stopped talking as Danny was on a hospital bed being rolled into a surgery room. "Stella what's up?" Lindsay asked with a worried face. "Lindsay, Danny has taken a bullet to his chest." Stella said as tears fell down Lindsay's eyes. "What!? NO!" Hawkes came in as Stella was in shock and Lindsay was crying. "Lindsay he's gonna be alright. It's alright." Lindsay just kept on crying and Stella stood there.

In the hospital room where Danny was, boom! He's dead.
