The night before Prey.

Don Flack had been sat on his couch when there was an unexpected knock at the door, he groaned and went over to open the door, there stood Angell in a low cut red top and black jeans. "Hey Jess wasn't expecting you to be coming over." Flack said with a smile on his face, not only did he love her he thought she was the best woman in the world. "Hi, yeah I wanted to see you since we have a night off even though your on call in the morning." Their eyes were still locked when he motioned her to come into the apartment. She had been there before but always to cuddle and get called away. They had done it but they had a packed schedule. "Yeah well it was a pleasant suprise. Go make yourself comfy and do you want something to drink?" Jess smiled a stood on her tiptoes to give him a kiss on the cheek then a kiss on the mouth. "Yeah sure waters fine thanks." Flack nodded and went to the kitchen to get a bottle of water. Jess had noticed he had been watching doctor who. "There you go one bottle of water for my angel and I know I am busting out my game" She laughed and snuggled up close to him when he sat down. "Thought you had no game or were you lying to me?" Flack blushed because he realised how much control she had over him. He took her bottle put it on the table and took her to his bedroom. "Uh Flack what are you doing? I am not even tired" He smiled at her and started undressing her then she realised what he was doing and took off his shirt.

After Flack got called away.

"Sorry about this babe. I was having a good morning, I will shoot the killer once i find them." Flack grumbled dressing into his suit and tie. "Oh come on Flack can't you not wear a tie for at least a day you look sexy in normal clothes." Jess smiled pulling on his tie he fixed his tie up so nobody could tell he had a girlfriend who didn't like him in ties. "Yes I know that but it is part of the job. Sorry honey." Flack said giving her a light kiss then getting his handcuffs which were still attached to the bed and getting his gun and badge. "Yeah well if we had a day off then I would definitely make sure you were handcuffed to the bed and all phones were unplugged and turned off, no interruptions." Flack smiled after she finished her sentence. "Wait isn't tomorrow our day off?" She nodded a wide grin formed on her face. "Yes detective lots of fun." She was well there wasn't really a word for the way she was grinning. "I will see you later then" He leant down to give her a kiss. "Yeah I will talk to you later love you" Jess replied. "Love you too Jess don't put that shirt in the wash I want to smell like you tomorrow at work" She smiled when she heard this. "No way I have my own smell they will realise I am your girlfriend. Bye" He yelled bye back and closed the door obviously not happy with getting called away. She went back into his bedroom and got dressed then she started looking for her hair brush. Upon doing this she discovered something in his drawer by his bed. She pulled out a black velvet box and opened it, after she did this she saw an engagement ring she gasped and tried it on it fit perfectly. She heard a knock at the door and quickly put it back in the drawer and got changed and looked through the peephole to see Stella standing there. she took a deep breath and opened the door. "Jess what are you doing here?" Jess smiled a the older woman hoping se wouldn't realise why she was actually in Flack's apartment. "Well me and Flack were hanging out last night and we thought it was too late for me to go home so we stayed here" Jess replied Stella looked satisfied with the answer and asked her "Who slept on the couch then?" "Nobody we thought he had a big enough bed for the two of us so." "Ok so can I ask what were you doing in Flack's bed if he already has a girlfriend?" Oh god she's gonna find out I might as well tell her thought Jess "Ok um me and Flack have been going out for about 6 months now and we love each other and I spent the night at his place and ages ago we kissed then IA found out we were dating so we had a bit of a fight about it then we got over the fight and had our first night together and we have been flirting and making out today." Jess said in one breath hoping Stella wouldn't realise what she said. She did though she hugged Jess with a big smile on her face. "Ok 1. 6 months 2. you have kissed and not told me and 3. is he a good kisser wait 4. have you told him what we are doing with the Greek antiquities case?" tella asked sitting down on Flack's couch even though he wasn't there. "Well 1 yeah sorry for not telling you, 2. yes we have kissed 3. he is such a good kisser and 4. no that is our secret I have been telling him we have been going out on girly nights and you didn't hear that I said we love each other did you?" Stella was having her own daydream before she heard Jess say that. "What!? And you look like you just found something very good so what was it?" Jess smiled and took her to his bedroom to show her the ring. "Ok Ididn't want to see what you two have been doing in here." Jess laughed and opened the drawer and took out the little black box. She opened it then she heard Stella gasp. "Oh my god he is going to propose to you! Jess that is so amazing." Jess smiled and sat down on the bed. "Ok well when I said 6 months i meant 6 months tomorrow which Don is taking us out to a very fancy restraunt." Jess answered really happily. "Ok you have to convince him to tell everyone that you are going out cause it is quite important." Jess nodded and put the box back in the drawer. "Yeah sure if not I will tell everyone." The two said goodbye and Jess went back to her apartment.

Later that night the team went out to Cozy's and Flack had been convinced enough to come and tell everyone that he and Jess were dating. He was a little bit confused after the night before. "Hi guys I have an announcement to make." Don said standing up and bringing Jess with him. "Ok well I know we should've told you this earlier but me and Jess are dating and have been for a while now." Everybody's mouth but Stella's hit the floor. "He Stell how come your not shocked about this?" Flack asked putting his arms aroun Jess and pulling her close to him. He noticed that Jess was looking down. "Well I stopped by your apartment earlier and-" Jess cut her off "Ok don't get mad with me but I told her what was going on because she could kinda tell cause I was smiling from our morning and I was looking at that picture of us which wa on your wall which I told you to take down if someone came to yours." Jess replied turning in his grip.Flack leant down and kissed her. Stella and Mac smiled and Danny covered his eyes. "Arrghh the pain it is burning my eyes."Ow!" Mac,Stella and Hawkes hit him because he was ruining the moment. "Ok well I sorta have another announcement and Jess doesn't know about this." Jess looked aat him confused then looked at Stella who was grinning. Then Jess let out a breath because she knew what was going to happen. Flack knelt down on one knee and took out the black velvet box which held the engagement ring. Jess will you marry me?" Before he had even finished his question she shouted yes. He slid the ring on to her hand and she jumped on him. "Hun I can't breath. Stop before I die." Flack whispered. She let go and they took there seats next to the team where still shocked but agin not Stella. "Stell why aren't you shocked this time." Jess smiled and said silently I got it. "Well Don you really need to hide things better." Flack looked confused like usual. "Well lets see you left the ring in my drawer, I found it within 10 minutes after you left and you left a e on your fridge don't forget where the ring is! Not to mention I found my birthday present in 2 seconds a month ago." The team laughed and Jess snuggled closer to Flack. "Well I have an announcement to make now that Don said that, I'm pregnant." Don kissed her as soon as she said it. "Oh and I have another announcement!" Danny told them. "Danny you don't need to announce it just go." Flack joked and everyone laughed. "No not that type of announcement me and Lindsay are no londer Danny Messer and Lindsay Monroe we are Mr and Mrs Messer." Mac laughed with Stella as everyone else almost fell off their seats.

Don and Jess walked down the path hand in hand and stopped by his apartment. "You know maybe we should get a new place to live together and settle down as a family, and get a dog or puppy no cats!" Jess nodded clearly happy with it and tired of the night out.

A few years later...
Mac sat in his office looking around at everybody around him, he decided he should finally tell Stella how he felt about her before anybody cut in and stole his chance.
