Episode recap:
As the search for the taxi cab killer continues riding a cab gets very deadly the team must figure out how to keep New York City safe.


The Crimes:
Crime 1: At a New York Empire Basketball Game
Victim(s): Dugan Scott

Suspect(s): Lamont Henford, New York Empire Cheerleading Squad

Witness(es): Danny, Flack and a Stadium Full of Fans

Whodunit: Paula (The head cheerleader)

Motive: Dugan Scott made fun of her when she was fat embarrassing her in front of the entire crowd at the New York Empire Game. As she walked down the stands, he'd started a chant of "Eat a salad" which most people joined in with. She lost the weight and joined the cheerleading squad to get her revenge on Dugan Scott

  • Blood spatter on seat from concession salesman Lamont Henford
  • Film Coverage of the game
  • Diet pills in Paula's apartment
  • Atropa belladonna and Calabar Bean in Paula's apartment

From the morgue:
  • Atropine poisoning from a belladonna plant (Atropa belladonna)
  • Traces of phentremine
  • 12 lip imprints in different shades from the cheerleading squad

From the lab:
  • One of the 12 lip prints changes colors due to the posion on it which leads them to Paula

Turning point in the investigation:
Crime 1: Lindsay takes video from the game and discovers Paula actual annouced a differernt seat number then the one she picked

Personnel issues:
  • Reed pesters Mac for information on the taxi cab killer
  • Lindsay is taking a "rain walk" at night when she gets a call on her iPhone from Danny.
  • Danny tells Lindsay that he's sorry he pushed her away and promises it won't happen again. He informs her that he misses her more then he can say even if he can't say it. He invites her over to his place, and she responds by saying "I gotta go" then hangs up.
  • Rikki informs Danny that she is moving
  • At the end Reed enters the cab of the the taxi cab killer

I LOVE this episode. Perhaps, being a big sports fan, it has to do with the opening sequence involving Danny and Flack in their street clothes at the game (and yes, I'll admit, I did rewind my DVD more than once to watch Flack lift up his shirt in order to identify himself as NYPD)--but I thought the whole episode was a nice balance of forensic deduction and multiple storylines.

The case isn't incredibly complicated, but it's entertaining nonetheless. :)
